Here at the Royal Opera, we soon begin work on Damiano Michieletto’s new production of Les Contes d’Hoffmann. We are looking for a confident stilt walker for the production who is very comfortable walking on 1.6 metre high stilts. The artist will play a male role within the production. The performer should be used to working with music and experienced and safe to move slowly on the stilts. The ability to dance on the stilts would be an asset. It would also be helpful to know if the artist had their own 1.6 metre high stilts, however, this is not a requirement for the job.

The engagement begins on Monday 07 October 2024 with 9 performances the dates of which are below. All shows currently begin at 18.30 unless specified below, although timings could change closer to the time.

November 2024 – 07 (18.00), 10 (15.00), 12, 15, 18, 21, 25, 28

December 2024 – 01 (14.00)

A weekly fee of £589.70 would be offered for the entirety of the contract length.

Artists would need to be available for the full period (07 October – 01 December, inclusive). When applying, please let us know if you have anyother commitments that may clash within this period.
