Become an Open Training Member
In order to have access to our facilities for independent training, circus artists must apply to become an Open Training Member.
Open Training Membership is primarily intended for professional circus artists, although we will consider applications from recreational circus participants of an advanced level.
Applicants must be aged 18 years or over. Further information can be found in our Admissions Policy.
Becoming a member
Please complete the Online Application Form.
Any supporting material (such as video files) which you are not able to submit as part of the form should be sent to ot@nationalcircus.org.uk.
Applications usually take 1-2 weeks to be processed, but delays are possible. We will respond to all applicants.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
Full Membership
Registration Fee: £50
Guest Membership (1 month)
Registration Fee: £15
The registration fee is a one-off payment made when joining. Both full and guest members then pay per training session.
If you do not attend training for a two-year period, your membership will lapse and you will be required to re-apply and be re-inducted. However, you will not have to pay the registration fee again if you were previously a full member.
Once your application has been approved, you will be required to attend an induction at your first training session.
Spring Term 2020-21
£4.50: 3-hour session*
*Emergency funding from Arts Council England has enabled us to temporarily reduce training rates for 2020-21. We hope this will go some way to helping artists during these challenging times.
We hope to maintain these pricing levels until the summer. The sessions will return to 2019-20 price levels (£8.50 per session) by August 2021.
