Teachers

The National Centre for Circus Arts is seeking to recruit a number of multi-skilled Circus Arts teachers to work on our programme areas. This includes Professional Development (Higher Education/ London Youth Circus/ Outreach) and/ or Commercial strands (Recreational Youth & Adults). We are looking for teachers who can supply cover to our evening and weekend classes and/ or are interested in the potential for more regular work on our Higher Education programme. Applicants should already have teaching experience in one or more circus disciplines, have a high level of professionalism and be comfortable teaching a wide range of abilities. In particular, we are looking for teachers in the following areas:
Recreational programmes and youth circus:
Tightwire
Acrobatics (tumbling, handstands)
Flying Trapeze
Higher Education circus:
Acrobatics (Tumbling, handstands/ hand balancing)
Aerial (Straps)
Please note when teaching on our higher education programme teachers may be expected to:
- Attend student progress meetings
- Provide feedback for student assessments
- Produce, maintain and share schemes of work (class plans) with the Higher Education Team

Pay rate: ÂŁ25.58 – ÂŁ28.24 per hour (depending on programme area)

Recreational programme and youth training: Evenings & weekends
Degree programme: Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm
